Do you see kids in your office? It’s a question we get all the time. At Koplon Implant & Family Dentistry, we are just that – a family practice.

We pride ourselves on seeing patients at all stages of their care, from a toddler with their parent having their teeth checked, to school-aged children getting regular teeth cleanings, through adulthood, we see and treat patients of all ages.

Another big question we get asked is when should my child see the dentist? The truth is – when their first tooth cuts through or by their first birthday. Babies and toddlers are welcome in our office on their parents’ laps while we explain to parents how they can support their child by using an infant toothbrush and a rice sized amount of fluoride toothpaste twice a day. Brushing their teeth is a fun activity for children when supervised and helps instill healthy habits from the get-go, while familiarity with the dentist helps build trust and excitement for visits as they grow older.

As children age, they can continue to see us when their parent may come for their biannual cleaning visit and ultimately progress into their own appointments when comfortable.
