Dental Implant Procedure

by Dr. Adam Koplon

WHAT TO EXPECT: DENTAL IMPLANT PROCEDURE

Congrats! You have decided to undergo a dental implant procedure, either receiving one implant to replace a missing tooth, or getting full-mouth dental implants to restore your entire smile. We are so happy that you are our patient!

So what makes our process unique at Koplon Implant & Family Dentistry?

Dr. Koplon’s dental implant procedure is unique because we complete the entire dental implant procedure in our office without having to refer patients to other specialists. We are able to place the dental implant, crown and complete a bone graft within the comfort and familiarity of our office from start to finish.

Our doctors have extensive training in all aspects of the dental implant procedure, allowing for patients to receive quality implants at an affordable price. Staying up to date on the latest technology, our doctors use 3D imaging to map out and virtually place all implants before surgery. Our doctors’ combined experience consists of thousands of implant cases completed under our roof and care.

BENEFITS OF DENTAL IMPLANTS

  • They are a permanent replacement for missing teeth.
  • You are able to chew and eat as if it’s your natural teeth.
  • Dental implants help maintain bone density and jaw structure.
  • Dental implants look and feel like natural teeth.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN GETTING DENTAL IMPLANTS

The dental implant procedure can be a multi-step process for patients depending on their specific needs and individual health. Every case is different, and our team develops the best treatment plan possible for each and every dental implant patient.

Some patients require a bone graft before we can place an implant. For these patients, we may have  to draw blood on your first visit. Please be sure to be hydrated during your initial dental implant procedure.

After your dental implant procedure, it takes on average 4 months to properly heal. At the end of 4 months, we will have you to our office to take an impression for your final prosthesis; for full-mouth dental implant cases, extra visits are required.

A few weeks later, we will have you in for a final visit where you will receive your permanent prosthesis. This will complete your new smile!
