It's crazy to think that December is finally here -- 2016 has truly flown by! With the craziness of work, having a family and other obligations, patients often put off using the remainder of their dental insurance benefits before the end of the year, unaware that they don't roll over.
Most of our patients don't realize that dental insurance benefits come with a deductible and a yearly maximum. A deductible is the amount you must pay before your insurance company will start covering your care, while a yearly maximum is how much your insurance will cover throughout the year to help cover costs of various services. Any amount of your maximum that isn't used by the end of the year does not transfer to the following year but rather, you just lose them.
With a few more weeks left in the year, there are still opportunities to visit us and use the remainder of your benefits. Do you need one last cleaning or another service that we offer? Use this opportunity to make an appointment and work with Dr. Scott and Dr. Adam to ensure your benefits are used to their fullest.
At Koplon Implant & Family Dentistry, we accept most dental insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Delta Dental, United Healthcare, MetLife, Humana, Guardian and Cigna, just to name a few. We also cover non-dental insurance patients through our SMILESMART Dental Savings Plan, our in-house flexible plan.
